Program
The aim of the Henley Sports Academy is to assist student athletes in their sporting and academic pathways. Students have two 80-minute and one 50-minute lessons per week over the school year. The Tennis Academy focus for each term includes:
Term 1
Theory focus: Goal setting and sports psychology.
Practical focus: Singles and doubles strategy development, movement and technique development.
Term 2
Theory focus: Coaching accreditation and primary school coaching, technique analysis, nutrition and hydration task.
Practical focus: Singles and doubles strategy development, movement and technique development.
Term 3
Theory focus: Individual performance analysis.
Practical focus: Singles and doubles strategy development and individual player development.
Term 4
Theory focus: Performance presentation.
Practical focus: Singles and doubles strategy development, movement and technique development.
