There are several Sports Academy application periods held throughout the year.

Strictly no applications will be accepted after the due date and time.

Trials and review process

Once applications close the Sports Academy team and specialist coaches conduct a thorough trial and review process. The timing of this process can vary. You will be contacted by phone or email to advise you of the progress of your application.

  1. Applications are processed.
  2. Trial dates are sent to applicants.
  3. Trials are conducted for each sport.
  4. Applicant performance during trials is assessed.
  5. Applicants with strong trial performance are shortlisted. Applicants who do not meet the standards required during trials are advised that their application has not been successful.
  6. Shortlisted applicants have their academic, personal and sporting history assessed. Reference checks are conducted.
  7. Applicants are ranked.
  8. Offers to join the Sports Academy are sent to applicants based on the number of positions available. Applicants not offered a position are advised that their application has not been successful.
  9. Applicants who accept their offer are invited to a meeting to discuss transition into the Henley Sports Academy.
