In 2006 Henley High School began planning for the re-development of the Technology Studies facilities. After a successful Federal Government grant in 2009 of ($1.4 million) the school now has a significant trade certificate pathway program that delivers the following courses on-site in the Trade Training Centre (TTC):
Henley High Schools registered training organisation is the Department of Training and Further Education SA. All training delivered is approved and resulted by TAFE SA, with all programs counting towards the students SACE.
The newly refurbished Trade Training Centre is equipped with new tools and machines including metal lathes, welders and electrical diagnostic equipment. These facilities and courses now offer student not only at Henley High School but across the Western Adelaide region (Years 10 – 12 through application process) the opportunity to complete their SACE while also gaining formal qualifications in post school trade pathways.
Importantly, our Trade Training Centre also caters for all our Design and Technology students from years 8 to 12. We offer a wide range of courses and experiences that should cater for all our students.
