All students are expected to wear the school uniform. This decision is affirmed by the School Governing Council, Principal and Staff. We seek parent support for the uniform policy.

The school dress and skirt have been designed at the appropriate length as per a work environment. If alterations are needed, the measure is to be no more than 10 centimetres above the knee cap.

The PE Jacket and school spray jacket can be worn in general classes but removed in locations where there are safety concerns (e.g. Tech studies)
School blazers are specifically for special events and are not a required item of the uniform; however, they can be ordered through the uniform shop.
Footwear
The footwear requirements for all students;
Please note:
Not Acceptable footwear: Boots covering the ankle, slip on black shoes with exposed tops and shoes made with canvas or fabric due to WHS regulations
Socks/Stockings
Students are required to wear plain black, white or grey socks. (no repetitive patterns or logos)
Girls are permitted to wear skin coloured stockings with the summer dress and black stockings with the winter skirt.

Protective Clothing
At Henley High we provide a safe learning environment.
Henley High School values safety guidelines specified by the Department for Education, Department of labour and Industry and Work Health and Safety Act.
Guidelines regarding clothing, footwear and eye protection are explained to students attending practical courses.
It is expected that hats will be worn outdoors for sun protection.
The Henley special event beanie can only be worn outdoors.
Within buildings, all headwear is to be removed.
Jewellery and Make-up
Discreet jewellery and make-up at all times (as appropriate for work environment)
*Note: Modification to the uniform for students with a disability or medical condition is allowable by individual negotiation.
Any student who arrives out of school uniform will be required to change into uniform and will receive a detention if no parent note is given.
Excursions
Students must be in full school uniform to attend classes, travel to and from school and while on any excursion. The only exception is that students can arrive at school in their PE uniform if they have sport first lesson. Students can leave in sports uniform if they have sport last lesson.
